1973. Jan Goedefroit , just 18, captures Lou Reed, fresh from giving birth to "Transformer ," in front of his lens and sees the photo published. The whirlwind of Ike & Tina Turner soon follows. They are just two of the first wave of pop and rock legends, including names like AC/DC, Chuck Berry, Arno and Nick Cave, Bryan Adams, Herman Brood, Metallica and Bono, Miles Davis and Nirvana, and many more.

After Jan's death in early 1992, Carline Vandercruyssen tirelessly continued her first husband's work under the name Goedefroit Music . She photographs an equally diverse range of timeless heroes, both on and off the stage: from Pearl Jam to Neil Young, from dEUS to Anouk, Taylor Swift and Foo Fighters, the Rolling Stones, Roger Daltrey, INXS, Skunk Anansie, and Porno For Pyros, among many others.

Goedefroit Music's dual life's work offers a completely unique perspective on half a century of pop and rock music.
